and immature

and somehow the cliche

about heads falling off

applies to him.

but he knocked up his girlfriend

and it made him straight.

on the fourth of july

i watched him hold his daughter

in the palm of his hand

and let her suck on his nose.

he was a dad now

and he had a new tattoo to prove it

and though i've loved him

my whole life

like a brother, like family

i only then

knew who he was.
