very very good news:

susanna kaysen (one of my all time favorite authors, you'd probably know her best from writing "girl, interrupted") has come out with a brand new book. it's entitled "the camera my mother gave me" and it's all about some vaginal disease she has, but she spins the book into teachings about open sexuality, body awareness, and vagina confidence. i have not finished the book yet but i suggest that if you are a woman who is proud of her vagina, or knows nothing about her vagina- you read this book.

p.s. if you like anything by eve ensler (vagina monologues, necessary targets, etc) you will love this book.
