getting a license, having a college degree, living away from your parents, owning a home, getting married, having a child, having a job, having a great job, going food shopping, paying utilities, having sex, drinking alcohol.

all of these things can be reasons why someone is considered adult. but not one of these things has to be done exclusively by adults.

i've come to realize that the one and only thing that constitutes someone as an adult, no matter what, is age.
