my husband knows where virtually everything is on long island. anything from supermarkets to nail salons, book stores, parks, museums, surburban roads, and high schools. he can tell you where anything is in any town no matter how long ago he passed by there. the best part though, is that he gives you the directions as if he isn't sure where he's sending you:

"the center lane deli 6 towns away? um... i think you're going to take 495 west to exit 28, make a left when you see a hess gas station then turn right at the second light and merge right when you see a wendys and it'll be on your left in the waldbaums shopping center. i think"
