a song which i've loved for a very long time came on the radio today at work and these lyrics pierced me:

"truth is i love you more than i wanted to, there's no point in trying to pretend"

i realized this is how i feel about god. not God. my god. my buddy. my something out there that's mine alone. and i'm forever not afraid of it anymore.
