if college was a fantasy world (which it almost is but that's a different thing)

i looked online for about 6 hours the other day at different colleges and universities to see if there might be some interesting fashion courses i might want to take.

yet with each college, each course (though fascinating and definitely something i would be interested in) i found myself feeling like it wasn't EXACTLY what i was looking for.

eventually i threw out the scraps i had scribbled on. i knew what i was looking for and i knew it was stupid that i had been subconsciously looking for it.

i wanted to pay $500 to go talk about shoes. not their design, designers or fabric. just the ones i had seen in the mall and ask anyone else in the class if they had seen them too. they would tell me yes but that there were even cooler ones at bloomies and i should go right after class and i would feel enlightened. we could sit in a circle surrounded by vogue magazines eating soy yogurt and laughing. and for homework write essays entitled "what shoe shopping means to me".
