when someone starts off a question

with "hypothetically speaking"

the truth is,

there's no hypothetical.

the question

is a question

that would be hard to ask otherwise.

and you knew enough

to hypothetical me

because even though i've never told you before,

i don't like forevers

and

questions about them make me nervous.

most especially nervous

coming from you

because it's a forever i

wouldn't say no to.
